As previously reported, following the Leicestershire county council meeting held in September 2018- “An order was made under the provisions of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to add a Public Footpath to the Definitive Maps and Statements for Leicestershire and Northamptonshire”.
Succeeding this, members of the public were given the opportunity to object to the proposed route. The application received 1 objection to the proposed map change, resulting in it now being passed on to the Secretary of State to make the final decision on whether or not the map change will take place.
We have received an abundance of support throughout the 12 and a half years since Adam’s accident and we are eternally grateful. We are also pleased to have received tremendous support and backing from MP Neil O’Brien and Narinder Singh (Senior Parliamentary Researcher) who have both been in constant contact throughout this process and have been highly proactive with their ongoing support. We have also received full support from Market Harborough’s County councillor, Paul Bremner.
We now are waiting to hear back from the Secretary of State with the final decision. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, not only for your support but also for your patience. We will continue to chase up and get a legacy in Adam’s memory.
