After many years of discussions with the landowners and local authorities we have now been advised that in order to overcome the many barriers which have been put in our way, and to achieve our goal, we must apply for a Definitive Map Modification Order. Following a press release in the Harborough Mail in November 2013, over 60 forms have been sent into Leicestershire County Council, confirming that people have been using the proposed route for well over 20 years. This evidence along with supporting photos have now been sent to LCC’s Legal Department for Preliminary Consultations. We are awaiting news. Funds continue to be raised locally and we remain the designated charity for White Stuff. Last month the Tangent Club agreed to take us on as their charity for the year, and for the month of May AdamSmile was the winning charity in Waitrose, with an overwhelming number of green tokens!
